On the occasion of Foundation Day of Bhavnagar, Akhatrieej 2019 National Association For The Blind Bhavnagar Distrct branch initiated a awareness campaign to broaden the horizen of our activities for overall development of  people living with physical disability i.e. visually challanged  people both boys and girls of any age, caste, group and creed of Bhavnagar.  These people will be made part of the society with proper understanding to exchange their views and will be instrumental in making a cohesive and Samvedna Society.

To prove the slogan “Sathe maliee ne chaliye, sahu na jeevan ajvaliye” a three-tiered structure(forum) has been established at school-college, taluka level and district level so that survey of physically challenged particularly visually challenged people can be made in the interior/ rural areas. Under “Seva tamare baarne” education, training, employment and rehabilitation can be provided at their doorsteps. They can also be assisted in their family, social issues, make them aware about the government facilities or assistance.  Children who are deprived of education will be provide assistance in getting admissions in schools according to their disability level. So far about 1300 forums have been formed for the above purposes. These forums will be taken to state and national levels to help and serve the visually challenged people. with this objective, National Association for The Blinds, Bhavnagar has been initiated to work for making a Samvedna  Society for the purpose.
